Part 2 describes a period in which I am snowed in inside of a different forest house, isolated, and forced to deal with my own thoughts, which have been the largest antagonist so far. The sparse instrumentation is largely just me and a guitar to illustrate this isolation. The chorus recalls that even though the events of part 1 occurred, it was a growing experience for change. You can hear an attempt to listen to the radio, to get back into contact with other people, only to be reminded of what happened. Towards the end I get up out of the chair to leave the snowed in cabin, having partially dealt with it, although the problem is only fixed on the surface.
lyrics
Settle down
Settle down the house
Snow is locking in the doors and I can't get out
Unplug
Unplug that phone
Because the last voice I need to hear is my own
You are the vehicle, for my discoveries
It's not about the places we make for
Its the new ways in which I see
And all of my careful planning went straight to the landfill
It's piles and stacks of deterioration from first to last
Settle down
Settle down the house
Why would I ever leave here
What would I amount
Except an awful fixation on the ticking count
Dampened by finite time left to go around
You are the vehicle, for my discoveries
It's not about the places we make for
Its the new ways in which I see
And all of my careful planning went straight to the landfill
It's piles and stacks of deterioration from first to last
